Reflecting on a Year of Progress, Compassion, and Community Support
Dear Friends and Supporters of The Renaissance Collaborative,
As we reach the end of 2024, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the incredible progress those that support affordable housing field have made together and to express my heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering commitment to our shared mission of ending homelessness. This year has been one of growth, resilience, and impactful change for those facing homelessness, housing insecurity, and significant life challenges.
Providing Hope through Affordable Housing
At the core of TRC’s work is the commitment to providing safe, affordable housing for individuals and families in need. This year, we were able to finally close five million dollars in RAD2 funding to renovate our 101-unit SRO, Renaissance Apartments, preparing the building for the next 20 years in service. We are 90% complete with the renovation where residents are now excited about the building’s overall makeover, complete with a rehabbed community room, new parking lot and front door entry, etc. To add, the building has new windows, unit appliances, lighting, cabinets, etc. From newly renovated apartments to completing the Design Development phase for a new Intergenerational development, and the continued delivery of aging adult housing at Senior Village 1, our mission to create stable homes for those who need it most continues to flourish. Each unit offered represents not just a roof over someone's head, but a fresh start, a new opportunity, and the chance for individuals to rebuild their lives and move towards self-sufficiency.
Supporting the Whole Person with Comprehensive Services
But housing alone is not enough. We recognize that the path to stability requires comprehensive support. This year, we have made great strides in offering services that go beyond just providing shelter. We have enhanced our mental health programs, expanded access to substance abuse assistance, and continue to provide referrals to vital community resources. We know that each person’s journey is unique, and by providing holistic care, we are helping individuals address the root causes of homelessness and begin the process of recovery.
Our partnerships with mental health professionals, substance abuse counselors, and other service providers have been integral to these efforts, ensuring that those who come to us for help are given the support they need to thrive and be self-sufficiency.

Your commitment to improving the lives of those in need is inspiring, and it is truly an honor to work alongside such a passionate and talented team.
New Year - New Opportunities 2025
As we look toward 2025, I am filled with excitement for the future. 2024 has laid the groundwork for TRC to be able to make several huge announcements this coming year. Expect TRC to introduce new partners, programming, funding, and development projects to further our ability to meet of those we serve. Together, we will continue to provide not just housing, but the support, care, and opportunities that individuals need to transform their lives. We have much work to do, but with your continued partnership, I know we will make even greater strides in the year ahead.
