Planting Seeds of Opportunity

As we approach the end of summer, I find myself reflecting on the vibrant season we have experienced together. From the sun-drenched scorching hot days to the cool, breezy evenings, this summer has been a time of growth, connection, and reflection for The Renaissance Collaborative family.

Now we celebrate not just the season’s end but also the remarkable achievements and milestones we have reached together. Our focus on affordable housing and services to help individuals reach self-sufficiency has been a highlight of this summer. We have made significant strides in our efforts to address housing needs within our community, thanks to the collective dedication and hard work of our staff, partners, and supporters.

This summer, we successfully launched the renovation of both the Renaissance Apartments as well as the historic former ‘Y’ building, which has already created excitement around TRC and the community at large. We are also building strong strategic partnerships that will drastically enhance the resources available to our residents and the surrounding community. These partnerships will allow us to offer intensive case management, expand our referral network, and bring on-site mental health services to residents. To add, we continue to move closer to closing and breaking down on TRC’s next development project, Abrams Intergenerational Village (AIV). We reached the milestone of completing our Development Design phase which allows us to show the community our final building design. AIV is TRC’s newest effort aimed at expanding access to safe and affordable homes for those in need. These achievements reflect our unwavering commitment to ensuring that every member of our community has a place to call home and the resources to be successful in life.

Looking ahead, we are preparing for an equally exciting fall season, filled with new opportunities for engagement and collaboration. I encourage you to stay connected, explore the upcoming events and initiatives we have planned, and continue to bring your unique perspectives and enthusiasm to our collective efforts. Thank you for your unwavering support and commitment. It is your involvement that makes our work so meaningful and impactful. Let us continue to build on the momentum of this summer and look forward to all that we will accomplish together in creating a more inclusive and equitable community.

Wishing you a smooth transition into fall and looking forward to all that we will achieve together.

Warm regards,

Oji Eggleston
Executive Director
