New Culinary Training Program
TRC has partnered with professional chef Aleta Williams of Loquacious Culinary to provide free culinary classes to the community. After finishing the training, participants will have received their ServSafe food service manager sanitation license and be connected to jobs in the culinary industry.
Technical training takes up the majority of the program, taking place both in the classroom and in the kitchen. Hands-on learning includes proper knife skills, kitchen measurement conversions, kitchen nomenclature/etiquette, proper table settings, and basic serving skills. Students also obtain an extensive understanding of standards for sanitation and safety.
